(EN) The Human Rights NGO, Hyde Park, expresses its concern regarding the violent abuse employed by the police force during the protests in Yerevan on the 22nd and 23rd of June, against the demonstrators who legally exercised their fundamental rights of expression and speech.
After an approximate number of 240 people who have been detained, seven injured, and hundreds dispersed and silenced by the police, Hyde Park urges the Armenian authorities to:
– Make sure that the police will not make use of torture or other forms inhumane treatment against the jailed protesters;
– Investigate the abuses committed by the police forces during the protests;
– Ensure that the activists and protesters will not be further intimidated by the authorities when exercising their fundamental rights to expression and speech.
– Să nu admită aplicarea torturii sau a tratamentelor inumane și degradante asupra persoanelor reținute;
– Investigarea cazurilor de abuz de forță comis de organele de stat
– Anchetarea transparentă și cu respectarea normelor de drept internațional a cauzelor ce îi vizează pe participanții la proteste;
